Below you will find several steps to help you resolve the issue you are experiencing.
Configure your Antivirus/Firewall
First, you should verify that you have all firewall or Internet security software disabled. If you are able to connect with your firewall software disabled, then you will need to add exceptions to your firewall rules for the following files:
These files are by default located in the following directories:
For 32-bit versions of Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion\bin32
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion\bin32\XignCode
For 64-bit versions of Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion\bin64
C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion\bin64\XignCode\
If after trying all of these adjustments the issue still occurs we recommend trying the following steps:
XIGNCODE3 errors can sometimes be caused by 3rd party programs interfering with the game client. If you’re experiencing crashing or freezing we recommend you try disabling all 3rd party programs to see if it has any effect on your issue. For instructions on how to do this please reference the KB article here.
Sometimes XIGNCODE3 errors can be caused by the way your network is configured. If disabling the 3rd party programs and security software was unsuccessful, we recommend you attempt to bypass your router and connect directly to your modem as a temporary troubleshooting step in an effort to rule out potential router problems. To do so please reference our KB article here.
Verify your OS
Also, please note that you may receive a XIGNCODE3 error message if you are running an unverified copy of Windows.
Hard Drive Space
Ensure you have the proper amount of available Hard Drive space. If XIGNCODE does not have the Hard Drive space that it needs you will receive error 0xE0191009. The recommended Hard Drive space for Aion is 40GB’s.
